Turnaround
This project works with 14 -16 year olds who are offending. Many of our course participants have been, or are, excluded from school, local community groups or have come to the attention of the Children's Hearing System. Referral sources and agencies include parents, police, schools, housing, youth projects and even young people themselves can self refer through 6VT's unique drop in service.

By using various approaches, Turnaround helps young people to:
- re-engage into family and community life
- work through their personal difficulties
- provide advice and information to help young people make informed choices
- Help young people to pursue their goals and develop new skills
Turnaround runs for one full day over a 7 week period. Young people can access individual support and are encouraged to make use of other existing cafe services. During the group work, a whole range of youth issues are explored - Anti Social behaviour, racial awareness, offensive weapons and there is also a visit to Saughton Prison.
At the end of the course there is a fun activity and all participants who complete the course are invited back to 6VT's AGM in December along with their family and referrers where they are given an award to acknowledge their achievements.
Next Turnaround course starts: 10th September 2008
