The Cairn Service​
​Our Cairn Service offers one-to-one support for young people aged 10 to 25 who have been affected by crime. We provide a safe and confidential space to talk, get advice, and work through what’s happened at your own pace. Support can include emotional and practical help, such as understanding your rights, accessing other services, and preparing for going to court. To find out more or make a referral, please get in touch with us directly.
Time to Talk

​6VT youth workers are based in the emergency departments at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh every Friday and Saturday night, 7pm - 12am. We support young people aged 10 - 18 (up to 25 if care-experienced) with emotional, non-clinical support, particularly around mental health, substance use, harm, or challenging behaviour. Follow-up support in the community is available through our partner organisations.
Community Rail Partnership

​Our Community Rail Partnership connects young people with Scotland’s railways through creative projects, skills development, and community based activities. The programme offers opportunities to learn about rail safety, explore local routes, take part in art and heritage projects, and build confidence through hands-on experiences. It’s a positive way for young people to engage with their surroundings, meet others, and develop new interests.
School Holiday Provision​
​We offer free activities, trips, and meals for young people aged 12 to 16 during school holidays. It’s a safe and fun way to stay connected, try new things, and spend time with friends. Keep an eye on our social media for upcoming programmes and how to get involved.
OUR SERVICES
The Drop In
​
​Our Drop-In is a safe, welcoming space for young people aged 12 to 21 to relax, meet friends, take part in a programme of activties and get support if they need it. We’re open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5pm to 9pm. There’s no need to book - just come along and take part in our programme of activities.
Terrace Tots
​
​Terrace Tots is a free group for young parents and their children, offering a welcoming space to connect, relax, and spend time together. We run every Thursday from 11am to 1pm and are open to young parents aged up to 25. There’s plenty on offer, including play activities, snacks, and support with parenting, housing, benefits, and more. Again, no need to book - just drop in.
